Reggae Sumfest is the largest music festival in Jamaica and in the Caribbean. It began in 1993 and has grown tremendously in its 27 years.
Every year, Sumfest takes place at Cathrine Hall in Montego Bay. The festival is split into two nights, Dancehall Night and Culture Night. This years, both nights reached numbers upwards of 30,000
Dancehall night featured an impressive mix of artists like Koffee, Chronixx, (The Energy God) Elephant Man, Spice, Spragga Benz, Ras Munga, Agent Sasco, and Bennie Man and Bounty Killer together!
Culture night, as usual was a calmer night than Dancehall Night. Despite the calm, there was an undertone full of anticipation for the return of Buju Banton to the Sumfest stage. Other featured artists included Etana, Protoje, Romain Virgo, Christopher Martin, and Beres Hammond
